What happens after I complete the TLSAE course?

Once you pass the TLSAE, your completion certificate is reported to the Florida DHSMV system. You'll also receive a mailed Certificate of Completion for your records or you can opt to receive an expedited certificate. From there, you'll be eligible to take the DMV Written Knowledge Exam at a local DMV or Tax Collector's office. The exam covers road rules, road signs, and safe driving practices from the Florida Driver Handbook. By finishing TLSAE first, you'll be legally cleared to schedule your test and move one step closer to holding your Florida driver license.
